Can you fix a dent without repainting?
Yes, that is exactly what paintless dent repair is. We reach behind the panel and work the metal back to its original shape, so there is no filler, no sanding, and no respray. Your factory paint stays original, which matters at trade-in.
Can every dent be fixed this way?
No, and any shop that says yes is overselling. PDR needs intact paint, metal that is not stretched or torn, and access to the back of the panel. When one of those fails, conventional repair is the honest answer and we will tell you. Here is what rules PDR out.
Should I claim one dent on insurance?
Usually not. A typical Alberta comprehensive deductible is $500 to $1,000 and most single-dent repairs cost less than that, so claiming means paying the full repair anyway and putting a claim on your record for nothing.
How long does dent repair take?
It depends on access, and that is not a dodge. A shallow ding on a flat door is quick. A crease on a body line, or a panel we have to open up to reach, is not. You get the real timeline when we put the car under the light, before you agree to anything.
